provides security systems for aircraft and helicopters. Generally
fitted upstream of regulating equipment and injectors, they ensure
total on-line protection for these components. They can incorporate electric pre-clogging indicators and visual by-pass indicators to facilitate a constant watch on the state of the filter cartridge. At low temperatures, water contaminants in fuel will bring about a build-up of ice crystals which could eventually block the filter cartridge. LBFS has studied this problem for many years and has developed special filtration systems which will guarantee safe flight for 4 hours at -40°C (-40°F), without using antifreeze or mechanical heating systems. |
